Help create a community of red, white and blue! Join others on your street to honor our country with a parade of flags in all our neighborhoods.

The Hudson Rotary Club, assisted by local community groups, will place before and pick up after a 3’x 5’ American flag in your front yard on 6 patriotic holidays during the year.  A metal pipe, flush with the ground, will be buried down to 20" in your front lawn to hold the flagstaff, with an unobtrustive cap to cover the pipe when not in use. Diggers Hotline (811) needs to be called prior to pipe placement and any sprinkler systems should be clearly marked.  HOA members should ensure flag placement is within the HOA rules.  For locations without a lawn, we can provide an 18" steel plate on which the flag will be mounted.  The flag and staff will remain the property of the Hudson Rotary Club.

The cost of a flag is $100.00 per calendar year (not pro-rated by holiday). 

Proceeds from the flag program are used to support all of the Hudson area nonprofits, local food assistance and mental health programs, scholarships to Hudson High School students, International Village Clinic in India's state of Uttar Pradesh, and Rotary International's "End Polio Now" program.

The 6 patriotic holidays are: President’s Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Patriot’s Day (Sept. 11th) and Veterans Day.  New subscribers must register at least two weeks prior to the next flag holiday to have a flag placed for that flag holiday, and the Hudson Rotary Club may exercise the option to leave flags on display when flag holidays are within two weeks of each other.
